PipeTaz
 PipeTaz is an in-situ asbestos-insulation system capable of removing insulation from piping. The system is currently being developed under funding from the U.S. Department of Energy. PipeTaz allows insulation to be separated from the pipe and bagged. PipeTaz can operate on any size of pipe. The cleaned pipe can be recycled. We calculate that the separation of asbestos-containing waste from the pipe will allow for waste reductions of at least 40%.
